Personal care doesn't need to be complicated to be great.

Founded in 2013 in a 360-square-foot Los Angeles garage, Craftsman started with a simple goal: make exceptional soap. Over a decade and 26 formula iterations later, the ingredients have evolved and the lather has been perfected, but our dead-simple approach remains the same. We start with the outcome you need — banishing dry skin, ending beard itch, getting a clean shave — and work backward.

Ingredients

We evaluate everything based on objective physical performance, not fear-based marketing or industry dogma. Ruthlessly functional skincare that balances deep conditioning with rich lather — so you can step into the shower, wash off the day, and enjoy a few analog minutes away from the noise.

Scent

Our scent architecture is the exception to our bull-simple philosophy. We build wilderness-inspired scents using as many botanical extracts and essential oils as is necessary, from a handful to nearly two-dozen — real plant compounds that don't just smell good. They trigger visceral memory recall of the outdoors. A tether back to places you've actually been.

Workshop

We still wire-cut our soap by hand. We still rack it to cure, bar-by-bar. We still punch out our boxes on a vintage windmill press in our Los Angeles workshop. We keep our hands on the materials because it's the only way to ensure the standard never slips.
